This is a very interesting opportunity. The company are a boutique award winning building company with a fantastic history of success and a very low turnover of staff. They specialise in extremely challenging technically difficult commercial construction projects in the $0.5M – $20M range, for private and public sector clients.
The majority of the projects are fit out and refurbishment projects. However the projects are so technically difficult, often with complex services and many with large structural elements to the build that this role would only really work if you had considerable experience of new build construction projects previously. Add to all these complexities the clients who work closely with this builder have very high expectations. They also often work in occupied buildings, in locations with challenging access problems and the deadlines that they work towards are testing.
The best person for this role is someone who has really fabulous attention to detail and someone who thrives working on challenging projects. Every day you would be forced to think outside of the box to come up with solutions to build smartly and efficiently. They are seeking an experienced General Foreman (m/f) who started working life as a Carpenter and has worked as a Leading Hand, a Sub Foreman, and a Foreman and is now an experienced General Foreman. You must be incredibly confident to work on complex projects and be happy to liaise directly with clients. Above average computer skills are essential for this role.
