A very rare opportunity has arisen to join this leading building Company as a Project Manager. This contractor has a proud history and are very well regarded by sub contractors, clients and other stakeholders. They build smartly, they are ethical and most people who join them do so for the long term.
This employer of choice very rarely employs Project Managers for a couple of reasons. Firstly they try where ever possible to train from within but also people very rarely leave them. However recently they have reached full capacity in terms of the number of Project Managers that they can allocate to jobs. In recent months they have grown and are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team. They currently have a $30M education project and a fast track, $25M design and construct industrial project.
They are looking for someone first and foremost who is a loyal person. If you have moved around a lot from Company to Company they are not likely to show an interest in interviewing you. They want to employ someone who they can rely on as a great addition to their team who will grow into a strategic member of the senior management team. There are plenty of opportunities with this company to continue your career growth and development.
As an individual you never see anything as a problem – you just see challenges that you can work towards finding solutions for. When it comes to building / construction you think in 3D and you intuitively come up with innovative ideas to build smarter and more efficiently. You are extremely good with clients and build long term relationships with them. You also have a very good manner when it comes to working with your team who respect your knowledge and your approach to working with people.
You have a very strong work ethic and you expect others to follow your example. The subcontractors who work with you enjoy the experience because you forge a partnership type approach. You are firm but fair but they know that you are going to look after them as well. You are ideally degree qualified with a Construction Management Degree but they will also consider someone from a carpentry trade background. One thing that is completely essential though is that you have at some point in your career worked full time as a Contract Administrator and as a result you have strong commercial skills.
You are very good at programming and you work closely with your Site Managers and Contract Administrators. You must have been involved in industrial or commercial design and construct projects. You must have an outstanding record of building complex construction projects on time, to budget and with an extremely high attention to detail. You could produce a long list of clients who would recommend you as a Project Manager that they would be happy to work with again. This Company are financially secure and will take care of you for the long term. You will be interviewed by the Managing Director. He knows everyone who works for him on a personal basis and he is very keen to retain talent within his organisation while giving praise and encouragement to his entire team. The Site Managers that work for this company are some of the best in the business and so it makes it easier for the Project Managers to build really successful projects because you are properly supported.
Ideally this Builder would like to fill this position no later than early March 2019.
