They are not looking for a ‘back of house’ Estimator they are specially looking for someone to take a leadership role within the Estimating team. Due to further expansion they are looking for a Senior Building Estimator to join their talented team in the Sydney office. They would ideally like someone who has worked for a substantial period of time with a reputable building contractor in the local Sydney market. The ideal applicant will have experience of both hard dollar and negotiated projects and have a detailed working knowledge of design and construct projects.
They are looking for an exceptional Estimator who really understands how to “build in their head” and thinks like a builder. They want that rare Estimator who thinks in 3D and has a first class attention to detail, is decisive and quick thinking. They would like someone who is naturally competitive and likes to win. They need someone who has an ability to think outside the box and can come up with clever and imaginative solutions to challenges.
To fit into the team you need to be the kind of communicator who is an effective negotiator, who can work your way around difficult issues to achieve what everyone feels are win / win outcomes.
