A new role has been created to join a multi award winning building contractor as a Business Development Manager. As a business this Company is highly regarded by its employees, by clients, the subcontractors who they work in partnership with and the wider construction industry. They are modern, innovative in their approach, organised and driven as a team.

They have a track record of completing technically challenging building projects and they are constantly rewarded with ongoing work from key clients. They would like to complement their team with a reliable and proactive individual.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and make continual contact with Project Management and Architectural Firms
  • Daily planning and implementation of Cordell’s lead management tool
  • Daily planning and nurturing of leads from existing clients
  • Ongoing relationship management with existing contacts
  • Brand profile management across multi-channel touch points, on site, web, social media, mail etc.
  • Weekly reporting of lead status; cold, warm, hot opportunities
  • Co-ordination and hands on support when compiling expressions of interest and tender documentation packs.

Relevant experience in presentation, outstanding written and verbal communication skills and a track record of proficiency in the use of software is essential (Adobe Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft suite, 3D Issue, Adobe Acrobat Pro & Bluebeam). Qualifications in marketing, journalism or public relations would all be valuable. Previous experience of working within the construction or property industry would be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role it is essential to be organised, possess an ability to remain calm under pressure and have a very sharp eye for detail. This role would be ideal for a positive self-starter who has a can-do attitude.

In addition to a base salary there will be a commission incentive quarterly and an additional yearly bonus structure if targets are met.
