With over three decades of building success this well-respected medium tier building contractor is in an enviable position of generating almost 90% of its ongoing work from repeat business. They are currently building several interesting, technically challenging design and construct projects and have other projects in the early design phase, the emphasis is on retail and industrial projects.
You must be capable of running a $30M Design and Construct project but also willing and happy to build a $2M project. Your skill set needs to be versatile enough that you can manage a major refurbishment or a greenfield project. This Company places an enormous emphasis on client satisfaction, the client’s happiness is of paramount importance. They also place importance on working in partnership with all stakeholders, in particular the subcontractors who they view as part of the internal team. As a Project Manager with this builder the ability to work through complex design issues will be crucial. Although you will always have a Contract Administrator assigned to larger projects on smaller projects you will be expected to take over administration duties.
This role would work well for a Project Manager who is working for a tier three contractor and wants to move into a second-tier builder or someone who is already operating in the second-tier space and is looking for a culture that values a collaborative approach. Experience working in live environments would be highly advantageous.
