Qualifications

This role is perfect for an experienced Contract Administrator who is eager to develop their career and work towards a Project Management position.

Role Overview:

As a Contract Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the smooth execution of multiple projects or one large project, collaborating with the construction team and managing all contract administration duties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing Contract Administration duties across various projects
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, suppliers, architects, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project progression
  • Managing and monitoring construction costs from project initiation through to completion, ensuring accuracy in cost assessments and project handover
  • Preparing detailed material and labour lists, as well as liaising with stakeholders on cost planning for each project
  • Ensuring compliance with Head Contract obligations, including preparation of variation notices and claims
  • Reviewing plans to assess potential variations or delays and providing cost assessments for alterations to construction projects
  • Resolving disputes related to construction contracts
  • Preparing final cost statements for clients and ensuring the timely finalization of contracts

Skills and requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying
  • Proven experience working with a building contractor, ideally within the construction sector
  • A keen eye for detail, with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness
  • The ability to thrive under pressure, meeting strict deadlines while maintaining high standards
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a strong aptitude for team management
