Based in the Sydney office, this role is a key appointment focused on ensuring exceptional quality, elevating client satisfaction, and supporting the ongoing training of staff on quality standards throughout both the project delivery and post completion phases.
The role involves supporting clients and stakeholders following the completion of a defect’s liability period, while also playing an active part in quality management throughout the construction phase. Success in this position will require exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive approach. The role requires an individual who not only resolves issues but also leverages lessons learned to educate others, refine systems and processes while effectively capturing and communicating insights across the company.
Essential skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in new build construction, with active involvement in projects from concept to completion over a significant period.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality outcomes.
- A sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental management principles pertaining to the construction industry.
- Clear understanding of relevant statutory requirements, technical data, and standards, including The National Construction Code, relevant Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
- Outstanding people skills, with the ability to teach, train and manage relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
- Proficiency in IT skills including a working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Aconex, HammerTech and Web FM.
- Practical experience in a post completion management role within the construction industry
- Tertiary qualifications in building, engineering or related disciples are highly desirable.
Candidates with a background in construction who have transitioned into Facilities Management who can demonstrate a strong history in post completion management will also be considered.
