Description

Do you believe your expertise could significantly contribute to the pre-construction phase of projects?

Join a thriving ECI team as a Project Manager

  • Are you a Senior Project Engineer keen for career advancement in pre-construction?
  • Are you a delivery Project Manager who could add expertise to the ECI phase?
  • This is a genuine opportunity to play to your strengths and re-shape your future career.
Qualifications

Do you believe your expertise could significantly contribute to the pre-construction phase of projects? An exceptional opportunity has emerged to join a renowned and established building contractor, offering you the chance to play a pivotal role within the Pre-Construction division.

Reporting directly to the Head of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), you will take ownership of the planning, development, and management of the ECI phase across a portfolio of fit-out, refurbishment, and new build projects. With demanding deadlines and the need to juggle multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

This role is perfect for a Senior Project Engineer looking to step into a Project Manager position but prefers to apply their expertise and attention to detail in the pre-construction phase rather than delivery. It’s also an excellent opportunity for a site-based Project Manager seeking a better work-life balance while still advancing their career, with a focus on the early planning stages of projects.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Degree or tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction, Civil Engineering, or Project Management.
  • Practical knowledge of design and construction projects.
  • Proven track record in successfully delivering construction projects, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and environmental sustainability.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with expertise in procurement, contract administration, and consultant management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with a systematic approach, capable of overcoming challenges and thinking creatively.
  • Strong expertise in design management.
  • A forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to consider the broader impact of construction decisions on communities and long-term financial outcomes, particularly in the early stages of decision-making.

The culture at this organization is truly exceptional. With a dedicated and loyal team, a solid financial foundation, and strong partnerships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, it’s a place where collaboration thrives. They also prioritize work-life balance, offering flexible arrangements that allow you to manage your time in a way that suits your lifestyle.
