This position is open to candidates who have the follow attributes and qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years experience in the Building industry
A working knowledge of the Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations
General WHS project auditing skills
Administration skills in relation to WHS&R records, documents and plans
Trade qualifications in the Building Industry
A self motivated, organised, disciplined approach to work
Highly developed conflict resolution skills
An ability to help people to understand ‘why’
A capacity to build trust, foster confidence and inspire others to adopt safety as a priority
The most important attribute that this builder is looking for is a genuine desire to really ‘make a difference’ when it comes to safety but also a real passion for working in the construction industry. They specifically want someone from a trade background because they want someone who has had firsthand genuine exposure to construction and can relate to the challenges faced day-to-day on site.
