ABOUT THE ROLE:
Due to ongoing growth, an exceptional opportunity has emerged for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join the team. You will begin by working on a landmark, high-profile project, embedded on site. As a Senior Contract Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the success of each project—working closely with Project Managers to oversee subcontractor management, head contract administration, and project documentation. Beyond traditional contract administration, you’ll also contribute to construction programming, design coordination, buildability, and quality assurance.
Candidates with a strong background in mission-critical environments—particularly data centres—will be especially well regarded.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:- Tertiary Qualified in Building or Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
- Strong working knowledge of major building trades obtained while working for reputable Building Contractors
- A competent track record of preparing cost forecasts, preparing cash flow analysis and monitoring financial outcomes on significant construction projects
- Extensive experience of assessing subcontractor variations and preparing head contract variations
- Awareness of commercial and legal issues pertaining to head contracts
- Sharp negotiation skills and an ability to work in partnership with subcontractors
- Experience of capably liaising with clients and building robust working relationships with all stakeholders
- Excellent track record of working closely with site teams and a natural aptitude to mentor and lead others
- A working knowledge of construction specific Acts, Codes and Regulations, in particular the Building Code of Australia, Security of Payments Act and the Work Health & Safety Act.
