An exciting opportunity awaits with a well-established Australian civil and building contractor, currently seeking a Tender and Bid Coordinator to join their dynamic head office team located in Sydney’s CBD.
In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Pre-Contracts Manager and take ownership of producing compelling, high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals for a diverse range of civil and commercial construction projects. You will play a key role in supporting both the Business Development and Estimating teams, turning complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and strategically aligned submissions that drive success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, write, edit, and format bid and proposal documents.
- Collaborate with estimators, project managers, designers, and other technical staff.
- Develop tailored content that aligns with client needs and demonstrates value, capability, and compliance.
- Manage bid timelines and submission schedules, coordinating the team to meet deadlines.
- Participate in bid strategy meetings, client briefings.
- Work closely with the Pre- Contracts Manager and Estimators to ensure accurate pricing and methodology.
- Maintain and continuously refine a centralized content library.
- Build and sustain exceptional stakeholder engagement.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bid writing, preferably within civil or commercial construction, architecture, or related industries
- Strong understanding of government procurement, construction tendering and pre-contract protocols
- Exceptional writing, editing and document presentation skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, Construction Management, or a related field
- A proactive, organized, and self-motivated team player capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
